Good Neighbour Program

The Good Neighbour program aims to make a difference in the communities that we live and work in. It promotes community projects that are intended to develop our company’s purpose of building a sustainable, highly productive and deeply humane company, aligned with our belief that We are One Community. Each Good Neighbour project demonstrates our commitment to developing the communities where we operate through preserving the environment and promoting healthy lifestyles.

In 2016, Canada Bread launched the Good Neighbour program in every bakery and distribution centre across the country. With an assigned budget, each location was responsible for implementing the program by supporting a local cause or initiative. In its first year, Canada Bread achieved 100 per cent participation from all 25 locations and more than 30 projects were completed nationwide. In 2017, the Good Neighbour program supported 33 projects, once again achieving 100 per cent participation from all our facilities.
